Quilting Styles

Our quilting styles include:

Edge to Edge Quilting (E2E)

A continuous design is worked from one side of your quilt to the other. It is repeated, in rows, from the top to the bottom of your quilt. Patterns range from simple to complex designs and there is a wide selection of patterns to choose from, including:

Flower designs

Leaf designs

Feather designs

Heart designs

Geometric designs

Designs to suit children’s quilts, and many more.

If Sharon doesn’t have a design you like, she is happy to source something specific for you.

Meandering

A continuous design worked all over your quilt which may include flowers, loops and swirls.

Stippling

Medium to dense stippling covering large areas of your quilt top.

Stitch in the ditch/outlining

This is one of the most time consuming styles of quilting. The quality of the ditch stitching depends on the piecing and pressing of your quilt. If you would like ditch stitching, please ensure your seams are well pressed and flat.

Custom Quilting

Including stitch in the ditch, outlining and echo quilting, individual motifs, block and border designs, feathers and McTavishing.

Machine Basting

A machine basting service is available for hand quilters, or those who would like to quilt on their domestic machine. This means no more crawling around the floor, taping, pinning and hand basting. Simply drop your quilt to Sharon and it comes back ready for you to quilt.

Binding Service

A binding service is available if required.
